Crane reel cable
Reel cable has become the main solution in the field of mobile transmission (power, data, fluid) because of its advantages of small installation space, easy maintenance, reliable operation and low cost.
Classification of reel cables
Reel cable according to the driving form is divided into power drive form and electric drive form two categories.
a) According to cable arrangement, cable reels can be divided into axial single row and axial multi-row.
b) An inner slip ring and an outer slip ring are installed according to the position of the collector slip ring.
c) It is divided into cable reel and hose reel according to winding material.

Cable drum according to the driving form is divided into electric and non-electric two categories.
The electric cable reel includes: magnetic coupling type (JQD), torque motor type (KDO), frequency conversion control type (BP) and hysteresis type (CZ);
Non-electric coil cables include: elastic type (TA), magnetic coupling type (JQC), heavy hammer type (ZC).
Cable drum design parameters:
The technical difficulty is to ensure that the winding speed of the cable drum is synchronized with the moving speed of the equipment and that the cable is subjected to moderate tension during the winding process. Therefore, in the design of cable drum, the following factors should be considered:
1) Cable specifications and types:
The cable cross-sectional area ranges from 1.0 to 240mm2. The cable diameter directly affects the axial size and power requirements of the drum. When the cable section is greater than 35mm, the non-electric reel should not be selected (the counterweight can be extended to 50mm), and the flat cable can only choose the axial single reel. The cables should be of YCW type (power cable) and CEFR type (such as control signal cable), which are soft and have a certain tensile strength.
2) Coiling length
Coiling length affects the radial size and power requirements of the drum. The longer the length, the higher the power requirements.
Non - power cable reel is difficult to achieve long - distance winding.
Ground power berths also directly affect the choice of cable reel. Common berths have terminal power and intermediate power. Non-electromagnetic coupling (JQC series) cannot be selected for neutral power supply.
Equipment moving speed:
Motor power and transmission ratio of cable reel.
When the equipment speed is greater than 60 m/min, frequency conversion control series (BP) should be selected.
This height affects the motor power of the cable reel. The higher the installation height, the greater the demand for power. Installation shall not exceed the design requirements
